Movie Review: POV - A Cursed Film

Hi everyone!

Okay~ If you have been following Himeko and my tweets, you would realise that
WE LOVE WATCHING HORROR MOVIES!!!

Yes! Like quite a percentage of the time I go over to Himeko's house we'll be watching some horror movie over dinner in her room.

So I was invited by OMY.sg for an exclusive preview of the upcoming Japanese Horrior Movie
『POV - A Cursed Film』.



Synopsis

Mirai and Haruna are shooting a show streamed on smartphones which introduces different viewer submitted videos. That day the videos were all of paranormal phenomena, carefully selected alleged accurate accounts of haunted occurrences. In the middle of one video, the image gets interrupted, immediately turning back on to show a footage that was not in the script. The video capture an urban legend rumored at Haruna’s school. A psychic on the show assesses that a certain demonological ritual must be performed in order to rid the school of this phenomena. The director, agents and the two girls go to the school accordingly to find there is more to the video than meets the eye.

Yeah! I'm a fan of Shida Mirai!!!



So here's a ghostly photo of me in the cinema in our VIP seats of the Preview Theather at Shaw Centre before the movie started.

For horror movies lovers like me, well, I feel that this movie isn't really the kind that will make you jump out of your seat but it really kept me thinking all the time.

What's not?

I personally feel that this movie is like a Japanese version of Paranormal Activity.

Okay~ I really do not wish to give any spoilers here so I would say, go watch it for yourself!

Movie Review: Johnny English: Reborn

Hi everyone!

Last week I was invitied by OMY.sg to the sneak preview of new comedy by none other than Mr. Bean, Rowan Atkinson, in his all new movie Johnny English: Reborn!



I caught the movie together with Himeko and *ahem* was meeting her at the cinema a difficult task.
Why? I shall not go into details.

*See Himeko~ I so nice... Heehee*

So! Johnny English REBORN!!!

Like all Rwan Atkinson's comedies, never fail to make me laugh!
So yea, I really enjoyed the movie!

Seriously, the guy sitting behind me laughed so hard, he actually kicked my seat quite a couple of times. Like.. real HARD.


However, as compared to the very first Johnny English movie back in the 2003, I found the first movie much more funnier.
But still the sequel is really funny, too!
*Cough cough*
Sorry laughed too much during the movie...
LOL

Johnny English: Reborn is now out in Cinemas!
Go watch it! *wahahahahahahahaha*

Movie Review: The Last Song

Wootz! Watched Miley's Cyrus's latest movie, The Last Song, Tuesday evening with Jo.



It's a really sweet and touching movie. I almost cried~!

I love the bits of the movie where Miley Cyrus still speaks like the way she speak as Miley Ray in Hannah Montana. Reason being, IT'S REALLY FUNNY!!!



If you're a Hannah fan like me, you would understand how funny conversations are whenever she plays around with words the other party said.

Ok. I'll try to keep this review containing the least spoilers as possible.



The love story part was really sweet but yet not really those super mushy kind that guys would hate.
*ahem. The guy is woo~ hot!*

Friendship was also covered in the movie.

The part of the movie I love most is the part where they touched on FAMILY.



This movie really isn't one that I expected of. Seriously, the ending was sooooo touching I heard many girls sniffing away towards the end!
*Ahem, I was one of them*



If you want something light, funny, sweet, yet heartwarming at the same time, you sure HAVE to watch this movie!

Some random updates

Morning everyone! Here's some random updates of what happened last weekend in general. =P

First, I worked over time last Friday night but in the end my supervisor let me off at around 8pm plus. Boyfriend and guys had their guys night out so I went over to City Square Mall after work for a while as I when passed there once and I saw quite a big Watson's outlet there. Since it's near my work place, so I just worked over after work.

Spent like $90 at Watson's. =P Collected my extra 88 points! wahahaha!!! You must be thinking like what on earth did I buy like how can I spent almost a $100 there at Watson's that outlet isn't very big with lots of stuff like the one in Takashimaya?!

So here's my shopping for the night:

TADA!!! So nicely packed inside. It's actually a present from my mom for me getting a job. Thank you Mommy!

So after shopping st Watson's, went to comic connection and got my comic -- Switch Girl Book 9. No more mistakes this time! hahaha... Love this comic! So funny lah~ Can't wait for book 10 to be out!

OK. Some people may wonder how is City Square Mall like. basically, I feel that it's really empty, like nothing much unless you're going there for food and would just wanna do some shopping at same time. But I do love the Charles and Keith outlet there! It's pretty big! Stopped myself from going in to take a look or I may end up spending! =P

So last Saturday, I went to school to meet Ting Ting first to discuss with her about the performance flow for Open house 2010. Settles some stuff out and waiting for another meeting. Had Mac for lunch and I had like 20 of the Monopoly tabs lah!

After meeting, we went to town to buy tickets to Astro Boy that evening before shopping around. Got asked to join the search for Garnier's new face for 2010. Hmm... have not submitted my entry proper... but I guess you still cant vote for me at the Facebook page. hahaha...

Astro Boy is a really cool, cute, funny, and touching movie!

Shall do a more detailed review again if I have the time.

Sunday! Shopping day!

Met up with Dann first at Funan before meeting up with Gerry.

So after meeting up with Gerry, we went dress-shopping for Gerry as she wanted to get a dress for Daniel's wedding that's just next week! Arh~ so we shopped Marina Sqaure and Raffles City. After we've shortlisted some of the dresses, we then waited for Ezzat to join as so that he can take a look at those dresses before Gerry decides on which one to get.

Dinner was good~ hahahaha....

Lastly, here's 2 photos of me at work on Thursday. I was waiting for the computer to start up. =P

And yesterday, big boss let us go home early. Yuhu~ And I actully thought that I may have to work overtime to finish my work! Big boss just say, never mind, go home and do!



Went to watch 2012 with my mom. Great movie! hmmm... I can't really say how is it, just great and complicated. You must watch it to know it for yourself!

Lastly, here's some tibits I got from AMK Hub before meeting my mom!



Cute right~ I bought the yam chocolate sticks for my sister. She tried it and says that it's nice. I shall try one another day. =P

Updates!!!

Last Tuesday, I walked over to Bugis Junction to get some stuff from Watson's after work. Heehee...



Bought snoopy tissue, eye mask, face mask and FOUNDATION!!! Finally I got money to buy foundation AND I did bring my ZA discount voucher I got when I signed up for the Watson's card! hahaha...



I tried the eye mask that very night at Dann's house after supper. Meow~

Can't really see nor feel much effect. I guess I really have to use like 5 times the first week to see some results as stated on the box?


I had super bad diarrea on Wednesday and had no choice but to take MC that day. Went to see the doctor and doctor gave me 2 days MC. Meow~ I hate diarrea medicine especially the powder one where you have to mix it with water and drink it up. THAT sux the MOST!




I cooked some pasta for myself on Thursday before going home. I was just too hungry but was stuck at Dann's place due to the super heavy rain. Argh~~~ I was searching for food or anything that I can cook and I found pasta and the pasta sauce we bought the last time.

After work on Friday, Dann brought me to V8 at Bugis Junction for dinner.

Saturday, I went to AMK Hub with my mom.



Yea~ That's my mom alright. LOL

We went to AMK Hub as my mom wanted to watch Haeundae: The Deadly Tsunami



My mom just loves this kind of movies. I'm sure she's gonna ask me to watch with her 2012 lor~ LOL.

The movie is al~right~ The computer graphics and effects especially for the water aren't for good. Kinda bad for current technology. Oh well, my mom enjoyed it and that's the main thingy of this movie trip.

After the movie, we walked around Ang Mo Kio Central for awhile as my mom hardly goes there. She only step into Ang Mo Kio like once a year when we go visiting for my Aunties' houses during Lunar New Year.

After my mom went home, I went down to Heeren to meet Dann where Merloin, Xiang Min, Jo joined us soon after that. We walked around Heeren awhile and I bought my Arashi's Dream 'A' Live Album!!! Wahahaha!!! *Happy*



I know it's not the latest album but it's one of those that I'm short of! I'm still considering whether should I buy their latest 10th year anniversary album as I have like every single song in Disc A already and I intend to get every single one of their album which means I will also have every single song in Disc B in that way. Meow~

If I do get to see the Taiwan version again then buy ba. LOL.

Freddie joined us at Lucky Plaza where we then made our way to Liang Court for dinner!

All 6 of us ordered the same ramen that night! Wahahaha~!

Merloin went to eat curry rice after finishing his ramen. And after that, all of us, as usual, will have our sashimi time!

After all the tear dropping and stomach aching, we went to play pool. Gerry and I sat down at Mac, drink coke, eat fries and chit chat. LOL.

OK. That's about it for now.
