I've been spending my whole day in bed watching videos on wonder girls, nobody and dance tutorials and stuff.

Here's a group of girls (or rather ladies) dancing to Nobody. I feel that they are quite pro lor~ Unlike many many thousands (or even millions) of other spoofs on YouTube!



Here's a video of the disco version of this song which I seriously like it much much more better than the original be it the song or dance.


The only spoof I can find online with people dancing the disco version.

I've also watched quite a few episodes of 娱乐百分百 today and I was having quite a hard time watching cause I just couldn't stop laughing, HARD!

searching the past.

hey everyone,
like i've been saying for the past few days
that i really want to learn,
to dance ballet again.
and i've found this teacher through in the internet
that teaches adult ballet at a few community centres.

i've been leaving messages on her tagboard
asking her more information about the classes.
so i got to know that these classes are for people age 14 and above.
after asking her on what she recommends
for this grade 6,
8 years ago should take if i were to take up her lessons.
and she replied saying that i can actually try out her class
this saturday.

and now,
i really do not know what to do.
from the photos i see of her students,
yes.
they really are adults.
but this doesnt really bothers me actually.
i do take my japanese lessons with adults too.

i think the most worrying thing is the money issue.

i really want to try out her lessons,
not only to know if her lessons are up for me,
are what i would like my lessons to be
as i may be expecting something like what mr. fan my ballet teacher taught us.
and also if i really am able to learn in such a adult environment.
but most importantly,
make sure myself that i really want this.
and also confirm if i just want to do this just as a hobby,
or even more.

being a ballerina was once my dream.
but i gave it up
when i gave up ballet 8 years ago.

but now,
it may be a little late,
but not too late.
Misty Copeland started age 13.
Melissa Hayden started age 15.

hmm..
i really am still not sure about this.

but if i really want to do as a profession,
just these lessons at the community centre are not going to be enough.

Dance for Life!

back from suntec dance 2008

hey there everyone!

when today,
or rather yesterday,
i went to watch the dance competition at suntec city
together with merloin, steve, OZ, emily, jasmine, kim kai, byran and Jo.

when we first got to suntec,
we went to the fountain of wealth
which was where the competition was held.
go went in as the door was opened
and the weird thing was
the person in charge actually said
"i dont how on did you people get in here..."
like duh~
the door was opened!

oh well...
so we went mac for somew drinks and ice cream
until 6pm where the door is officially opened.

so we sat down and waited for the competition to start.
on the posters up on walls of suntec city,
it states that the competition will start at 5.30pm.
the person in charge told us to come back at 6pm.
we expected delay,
so we estimated around 6.30pm.
in the end,
the opening was at around 7.15pm.
and after the opening,
we had to wait again.
then after all the introduction of judges and sponsers etc,
the competition started i think around 7.45pm?

the kids were like sooooo cute lah!
wahahahaha....
i like the 3rd girl.
cant remember her name.
but then wu hoo~!
she's good!!!!
hahahahaha...

and so were many non-kids soloist.
and like i was saying that i wanna have a dance
of a fusion of ballet and hip-hop,
i just saw one right infront of my eyes hours ago.

hahahaha...
aiming to get there done.
even if i have no one else to perform with me,
or no chance to perform it,
i still wanna choreo one.
my own achievement.
wahahahaha...

sadly,
we only watched 2 of the groups performances
due to the heavy rain.
we left after watching foreign bodies' performance.
heard that andee forgot steps
but then i couldnt see as someone's umberlla was blocking my view.

but overall,
it's still a nice performance for all.

oh man i wanna know the results~~~

cross ballet and hip-hop

hey everyone~
well..
all i can say is that i am really mising ballet more and more
each and every minute i guess.

a couple of hours back
where i was on the train
on my way back home
while playing diner dash on my mobile phone,
i suddenly have this idea
of choreographing a dance
that is actually a combination of both hip-hop and ballet

and hopefully,
it would turn out like what i want it to be,
like the fusion of ballet and hip-hop in a certain nike commerical.

i watched some videos on youtube,
and i found this video below that reall caught my attention.
i dont foresee myself being able to choreo something like that,
neither do i have the confidence to put it out into action.

but then again,
i'll have to wait till i do have the choreo out first,
and get people to want to do it second.

i'm missing ballet badly~

these few days
my that level for the missing of ballet is coming back again.
and this time,
it's even stronger.

i really miss ballet alot,
and i'm really starting to regret giving it up more than 6 years ago.

i'm missing it so badly,
that i kinda realised that
i actually miss ballet
more than i miss rugby.

i really want to learn ballet,
dance ballet again...
but sadly,
right now,
i cant afford it.

and if i were to learn it again in the future,
i'm afraid that it would really be too late.
cause even right now i were to learn ballet once again,
it is already kinda late for me.

haiz...

how i hope i can actually get the money
falling down from the sky
just to let me learn ballet again.

but i know,
that is impossible.
money wont just come falling down the sky.

and i'm serious.
so hey everyone!
help me earn some money~
maybe i would be able to earn enough for the next semester before lessons starts
and also enough for me to get myself new ballet shoes.
i kinda out grown them even when i was having my ballet lessons then.
however,
i did not get new shoes
as i was supposingly changing to pointe shoes like weeks later only.

*that's one more sad thing to add on*
