Out here on my own

I just watched Fame 2009 at the Cathay hours ago with Dann, Xm and Jo. And just like the original movie, I love this emo song very very much. Not that it's because I'm emo-ing but it really is a great song. When I first heard it while watching the original movie of Fame of year 1980, I was deeply moved. Maybe it's because it reminds me of the pain I experienced when I gave up art and chose IT 4 years back. Not only does it reminds me of me giving up art but also the struggle I have to go through constantly because of dance. I know many people do not agree to me wanting to dance THAT much even though I myself know that physically I am not in the best condition to carry on with this passion of mine. What can I say... I guess it's in my blood, just like my mom.

Irene Cara - Out Here Own My Own Lyrics

----------------------------------------

Sometimes I wonder where I've been
Who I am
Do I fit in.
Make believin' is hard alone,
Out here on my own

We're always provin' who we are
Always reachin' for the risin' star
To guide me far
And shine me home
Out here on my own

When I'm down and feelin' blue
I close my eyes so I can be with you
Oh, baby, be strong for me
Baby, belong to me
Help me through
Help me need you

Until the morning sun appears
Making light of all my fears
I dry the tears
I've never shown
Out here on my own

When I'm down and feelin' blue
I close my eyes so I can be with you
Oh, baby, be strong for me
Baby, belong to me
Help me through
Help me need you

Sometimes I wonder where I've been
Who I am
Do I fit in
I may not win
But I can't be thrown
Out here on my own
On my own

I did a cover for this song, too, and have already uploaded it. You can scroll through my playlist of the left sidebar to find it. Sorry for the bad recording. I seriously wish to have a better mic sia~ And once again, please give me your comments! Thank you!
