I feel FREE!!!

Hi good morning everyone!

Ok~ Maybe it isn't that early already but still! It's before noon so it's still morning, right?

Anyways, I just wanna say I feel awesome right now.

Why?

Even though I love my current job, but oh boy am I feeling a load off my shoulders already after clicking the "send" button for the email to my manager with my resignation letter attached to it.

Although yes, the load isn't fully off yet as I am still gonna be here for the next one month but I am already feeling much better.

Seriously, let me ask all of you a question.

How would you feel if you have fallen super sick, couldn't come to work and had to stay home in bed for 2 days and on the 3rd day when you dragged yourself back to work and your manager tells you this:

"I don't understand, you have more flesh, more meat than me, how is it possible for you to fall sick?"

Note: My manager is a BONEY person. Skinny is an under-statement.

So are you telling me that fat or rather average sized people are not allowed to fall sick?!
It's illogical for fat/average sized people to fall sick??
Just because I have more flesh, more meat, more fats than YOU one person, I am not allowed to fall sick?!

What on earth is this?!

At times I'll drag myself to work even though I'm already very sick and had no choice but to take a half day leave so that I could go see the doctor and get proper rest.

I remember my work shift that day was from 1pm - 10pm.

I called my manager at like... 2pm? When I am already feeling drowsy. I was so bad that my supervisor just told me to go see a doctor, go home and rest kind.

Note: My supervisor is a very strict person and NEVER allows such stuff.

And my manager told me:

"Could you work till your shift is over? It's only a few hours more."

Note: My manager KNEW that I was working the 1pm-10pm shift that day as I just told here at the start of the phone conversation.

2-10pm is like 8 hours more. Ya right~ A FEW hours ONLY.

But this is not exactly why it pissed me off.

I understand that we are short of staff. But I just cannot take the unfair treatment given to us!

Why is it that when another staff from her beloved outlet am allowed to go home because of headache whereas I'm almost fainting here and I'm not allowed to go home but have to work the next 8 hours?!

You take OUR staff to replace another staff at another outlet when we are already lacking of manpower. And no matter what, the outlet I'm working at is the main boutique okay!

And after that, she told me to call the part-timers by MYSELF to see if anyone could cover my shift.
If there is someone to cover my shift, then I'm allowed to go home.

Hello?! It's 2pm! And I remember it was a SUNDAY.

Seriously~ You must be kidding me.

Ok. Complaining can just go on forever alright.

I really enjoyed working here the past year and a half but I just couldn't stand all the nonsense my manager has been giving us (every here in the main boutique) since like 7 months ago?

Things just got from bad to worst.

Alright. I shall end this post here.

Hopefully in my next post on my job, it will be awesome.

I know it will be.

Till then,
Take care everyone!

XOXO

Namie Amuro's Concert in Singapore Cancelled:
My Views

Hi everyone.

OK. Sorry I'm not gonna blog about my daily life again this time round but this has been really affecting me for the past few days.

Here's the article on The Straits Times today on the cancellation of Namie Amuro's Concert here in Singapore posted on Namie Amuro's Facebook Fanpage.

Ok. To be honest, the reporter wanted to interview me.

But unfortunately I wasn't able to reply her on time due to work.

SO NOW I am gonna write my views here on my blog instead!

So here's my story...

Namie Amuro to have a concert here in Singapore

When I first got the news that the Queen of JPOP Amuro Namie MAY hold her concert for the 20th Anniversary Asia Tour here in Singapore, I was really excited and looking forward to it!

All my friends and I expected the tickets to be really expensive as we all understands how difficult it is to even be able to invite anyone from Japan over here. Not to mention the Queen of JPOP, Namie Amuro.

I expected the most expensive tickets to be around $300SGD and yes, after confirmation, the most expensvive tickets were priced at $288 excluding SISTIC fee which adds up to a total of $291.

Even though it is really expensive for just a concert but I feel that for someone so huge like Namie Amuro, the money is totally worth spending.

The sale of tickets begin

Like mentioned in my earlier post here, I couldn't decide if I should get the tickets because I'me afraid that I may not be in town on the concert day. However, I still decided to buy the tickets on the very day the sale of tickets began together with my friends.

NOTE: The 3 of us all bought the $288, most expensive tickets!

On the very day itself, I have 2 other friends that bought the same category tickets for the Queen of JPOP's concert.

Within a few hours, all $288 tickets were sold out. I even have a friend that went online to purchase from someone else who bought extra tickets and then sold the ticket to my friend.

NOTE: My friend tried her best to get the ticket from SISTIC, she was not able to. Thus had the need to purchase from another fan from some forum.

So who says there isn't enough fans in Singapore that are willing to pay such a steep price for a ticket to Namie Amuro's Concert?!

JPOP VS KPOP

I have to admit that nowadays here in Singapore, it may seem that JPOP is dying but NO! I do not believe so!

The fact that KPOP is being promoted a lot more than JPOP here in Singapore, does not equate that people supporting JPOP here is getting any lesser!

I'm sorry but around 80% - 90% of my friends are still super hardcore JPOP fans!

JPOP万歳!

Namie Amuro's concert was not sold out

Well, I did not go on to check on the sale of the tickets after making my purchase alright.

Like seriously, why would I, right?

And I did not see any promotion for Namie Amuro's concert anywhere in any form.

So I was thinking that her concert was selling so well that she didn't even need any form of promotion!

But no! That was not the case!

I saw only an ad ONCE on the big screen outside 313@Somerset just 2 weeks ago, which is like the 1st week of April?

I was really suprised and shocked when I saw that ad.

"OH?! They are finally promoting for her concert like NOW?!"

"Wait! So you mean her concert is not sold out yet?!"

After that, I saw stores like HMV and JRunway giving out her concert tickets are prizes for contests last week!

If you wanna count THOSE in as promotion...

Lack of promotion to the public here in Singapore

Honestly speaking, a lot of my friends did not even know that Namie Amuro is was coming to Singapore till last week?

There were actually A LOT of people who only got to know that Namie Amuro was supposed to come and hold her concert here AFTER such contests (e.g. HMV and JRunway) which was already just a few days BEFORE the concert was cancelled.

Can you imagine if you actually did win the tickets to Namie's concert like Tuesday and on Friday night news were released online stating that the concert has been cancelled and on Sunday you saw the news on the newspaper reporting it!!!

And to make it worst, there was actually ads still on Saturday promoting the concert!

Not forgeting the fact that people can STILL make their purchase for the concert right now as I'm typing this super long blog post!

Like WTF right?!

To be honest, if I do not have hardcore Namie Amuro's fans friends around me, I would most probably NOT know that the Queen of JPOP is coming, too!

Here's a screenshot of a fan from the concert's event page created by Namie Amuro's Facebook Fanpage.

Can you imagine?!

Even fans that joined the Facebook Fan Page are not aware that Namie was coming to Singapore till the 29th of March which is 3 weeks ago?!

So why are people pointing fingers and say that JPOP here in Singapore is dying and cannot attract fans when in the first place the concert was NOT being promoted at all!!!

Avex Announced Concert Cancelled

Last Saturday, I woke up to the email stating that the concert has been cancelled.

I was very very disappointed.

I specially request an off day from work to be able to go to her concert.

I've set aside money wanting to purchase her concert merchandise!

I'm already prepared to go for her concert in her previous concert's tee!

I've been waiting for a JPOP concert to be held here ever since I've been a fan of JPOP 14 years ago when I was in Primary School.

I was so depressed that very day I couldn't get my head into work that day and yes, I almost cried.

Finally when my dream was just about to come true, our dear local promoter Midas Promotion just had to drag me back to hell.

All because they did not even make the effort to promote Namie'a concert!

Like what many commented on Facebook, "Namie Amuro is no small fry".

If they expect the concert to be sold out by only the few posts on Facebook from Namie Amuro's Fanpage, then they are so wrong.

For goodness sake, how many people are posting and sharing and uploading tons of things onto their timeline every second.

What makes you so sure that more than half of the people in Singapore would actually get to see that very post on Namie's concert?!

I personally have quite a number of friends who do not even use Facebook or any social media platforms.

So how on earth do you think those Facebook posts are gonna reach these people?!

What if these people who are not on the social media are actually fans of Namie but they totally lost the chance of even knowing that their idol is coming and would be holding a concert?!

I guess the only time they actually got to know about the concert is 1 or 2 weeks ago OR even worst, after this whole mess after the concert is cancelled on newspapers.

And slowly, this disappointment turns into fustration.

Why wouldn't Midas Promotion just give us a proper explaination?!

(Screenshot on my iPhone less than 20mins after I received the email notification)

Although the reason of why the concert is cancelled is being changed from "issues concerning local promoter" to "due to local technical reasons", it is still because of local promoter in Japanese.

(Click to go to Namie Amuro's Official Website's Annoucement Page)

「シンガポール側主催者の都合により」

YES! There are actually A LOT of Singaporeans who can read Japanese!

My wishes

So what it seems to me is that the cancellation of the concert has been confirmed be it whether Midas admits it or not.

If they are going to stick to their word and say that the concert is going to resume, even if it feels damn silly, I would still go down to the Indoor Stadium and see what's gonna happen.

I just hope that this will not be the reason for any other JPOP artistes to leave Singapore out of their considerations for their concert tours in future.

I'm sure if they had worked with a promotion company that is way more responsible, things may not be so right now.

So that's all for this post now.
Sorry for the long and wordy post.

Lousy service from Korean brand, again!

Hi everyone!

Ok. Here's another rant post alright.

Just 2 days ago, I dropped by my workplace after my dance lessons.

When I reached my workplace, I saw one of my my colleague returning and was really pissed off because she just bought an item from this particular outlet (outlet A) of a Korean cosmetic brand like just 2 hours ago?

She went back wanting to get an exchange.

So you may think, what's the deal? Just exchange right?

Well nope.

First! The shop staff told her that she cannot get an exchange because that particular item is not in the same category as the item that she wants to change for.

What nonsense right?! It's not even stated on their receipt or wherever!

My colleague called up another outlet (outlet B) to clarify and the staff from the outlet B said that it's totally fine and an exchange is allowed.

When my colleague was on the phone with staff from outlet B, the staff from outlet A called her and told her that she was then aloowed the exchange.

Wth right?

Ok. So this time round, I went back to outlet A with my colleague just to be sure as she could be a little blur at times.

So we went back to the shop, chose the stuff that my colleague wanna change for and went back to the cashier to pay the amount that my colleague has to top-up for.

The staff then told us that my colleague has to make a full payment of $80++ cash.

Wait a minute! My colleague already paid like $60++ by NETS earlier so why does she has to make a full payment of $80++?!

The staff then passed us the void receipt of their shop for the first receipt of items my colleague bought and said that THAT is the receipt for the void of NETS! Thus my colleague have to make the full payment of $80++.

Thank goodness I was there with my colleague or she would have been so blur and went to withdraw cash to pay up that $80++!

I've been working in many jobs before which requires me to handle payment via various mode so I'm VERY sure that THAT very void receipt is NOT the void receipt for the NETS my colleague paid earlier on.

I then explained to the staff and demand that we get the NETS void receipt before we make our payment of $80++ via cash.

(Apparently when we exchange the item, we are not allowed to pay by any other mode of payment but cash according to that staff? Doesn't make sense but forget it)

She then gave us a really F*ck up face, insisted that THAT very receipt is the void receipt for NETS. Like that's how their brand, their shop works. Plus, she also told us that we can always call outlet B to check if we want to.

I immediately asked my colleague to check her iBanking as payment by NETS will be reflected immediately.

As my colleague was checking her iBanking, the staff called up outlet B herself to check on this.

Guess what?! I was correct!

Which means that my colleague had to pay the $10++ extra only!

Note here that the face of the staff at outlet A was really black the entire time we were there.
She had that ultimate f*ck up face on even before we stepped in to the shop!

I actually wanted to get some stuff from the shop as I've ran out of lip masks and their lip masks are pretty not bad.
However, I myself was so pissed off that I did not buy anything at all.

Throughout the entire process, even when the staff was in the wrong, she didn't even apologize at all!

Yes I understand that your day could be really bad and you are all alone in the shop at night, wanting to go home in approximately an hour's time (which seriously isn't exactly a very short time) and had to face customers like us.

But you can't blame us for your lack of knowledge of your job and how the entire payment process goes, right?

She could have said "sorry" with a black face it would still make us feel better. Or at least I know I will feel a little better, alright.

Boy am I disappointed in the lousy service of that very staff!!!

I've been to many of the outlets of this very brand and I always feel welcomed even though most of the times I don't buy anything?
Still they treat all their customers really nice!

Just this ONE staff at their newly opened outlet.

Wanna know what brand is it...
Hmm... Let me think of a product I own from them...

Banana Milk Shower Gel!

I guess this says alot as not many Korean brands in Singapore sells banana milk flavoured shower gel!

So that's all for this post.

Rant. End.

Upset, Disappointed

Hi everyone!

Okay~ This is just another post stating down my thoughts.

So early last week, or to be exact it's on the 4th of Sep, my loose powder is running out and I seriously had to time to go shopping for a new one.

Thus I decided to buy online at this particular Korean brand's website here in Singapore after seeing reviews that most people receive their orders within 1-2 days, or at most 3-4 days.

So I thinking "Ok~ Why not? My current loose powder can still last me for other another week."

So I made my order on the night of 4th Sep, which is a Tuesday.

Guess what? The online store closed down just the following day I made my order!

Like... WTF?!

I made my order then you close down the webstore?!

So I thought, ok. Maybe they close it down because their physical shop open a week days later, like LAST WEEKEND!. Wth~

But till now , I have still yet to receive my order!

And yes, I am already ran out of my loose powder... ( T ^ T )
Nothing to use for the past few days...

I then receive an email from their customer service a few days later stating that my order will be delay.

They did not state how much longer do I have to wait or whatever.

So I replied the customer service asking if I could just pick it up at the store instead of waiting for my order to be delivered to me.

Well, no. They told me that my order has been sent out and should reach me like 2 days ago?

Which, no! I still have yet to receive my order!

Super disappointed with their service. The email customer service replied me was like just to entertain and stuff things into my mouth so that I can't say anything.
*That kind of feeling*

So what if you're giving me more freebies like masks and stuff?

I don't use them!

If you have been reading long enough, you should have realised that I do not actually use Korean products other than 2 brands - one for their makeup base, and one for their facial scrub.

I still do not feel like stating the brand of this website yet.

But it's really obvious. It's the brand I use their makeup base from.

*sigh*

Enough of ranting.

But yes, I'm still disappointed in their service.

Ok. But I went down to their physical store yesterday after work and their service is good. So it's just their backend service that is not up the standard.

Enough ranting for now.

Have a great weekend!
